Sense of Belonging
Belonging is the feeling of security and support when there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identity for a member of a certain group. It is when an individual can bring their authentic self to work.
Fairness
Fairness in the workplace refers to an aspect of organizational justice with regards to both process and outcome impartiality. Some of the factors that support fair treatment in the workplace include mutual respect, strong interpersonal relationships and honest communication.
Recommendation Score
The recommendation or net promoter score measures how willing an individual is to recommend positively an institution to other people such as family, friends, peers, or professional associates. This metric assesses loyalty, engagement and advocacy.
Turnover Rates
The turnover rate is the measurement of the number of individuals who leave an organization during a specified time period, typically one year. Retaining individuals, including those from marginalized or traditionally underrepresented backgrounds, is crucial to running a successful organization.
Diverse Candidate Pools
Cornell University's history of diversity and inclusion encourages all students, faculty, and staff to support a diverse and inclusive university in which to work, study, teach, research, and serve.
